Inaugural Echo Asia Festival brings authentic food to South Glastonbury this August

The inaugural Echo Asia Festival will host a two-day event in South Glastonbury this August. The outdoor festival is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 8, and Sunday, August 9, at 98 Woodland Street. The event is being organized by a local Connecticut team.

The program was created to provide access to authentic Chinese and Japanese food, live entertainment, and local vendors. The organizers established the festival to offer regional families and food lovers an opportunity to experience authentic Asian flavors within the state. The weekend lineup features live music, free karaoke, and family-friendly games alongside the food vendors.

Admission to the festival grounds is free of charge, though attendees must complete an advance registration through Eventbrite. Every registered guest who checks in at the festival entrance will receive one complimentary ice cream, which will be distributed while supplies last.

The event hours vary by day throughout the weekend. The festival will open on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. On-site parking is available for attendees at a rate of $10 per standard vehicle.

The production team aims to establish the gathering as a new annual tradition that supports local businesses and brings regional communities together. The organization is publishing vendor announcements, food previews, and entertainment schedules on its official Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok profiles leading up to the event.
