International Sea Glass Festival returns to Mystic Seaport Museum this July

The 22nd International Sea Glass Festival will return to the Mystic Seaport Museum in Mystic, Connecticut, on July 25 and 26, 2026. The two-day event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. Organized in partnership with the International Sea Glass Association, the festival features artists, collectors, and shoreline experts.

More than 50 juried artisans, craftspeople, and authors will display sea glass-inspired artwork, jewelry, and books. Educational lectures will take place throughout the weekend inside the Tom Clagett Boat Shed. The event also includes family-friendly activities and supports the Ocean Recovery Community Alliance.

The Collectors Showcase takes place on Saturday, displaying private collections of sea glass, beach pottery, sea marbles, and antique bottles. On Sunday, attendees can enter their own discoveries into the Sea Glass Contest. Awards will be presented Sunday afternoon for categories including Find of the Year, Frosted Bottles, Bottle Stopper, Pottery/Ceramics, Unique Find, Historical Find, Beads/Buttons, Marbles, and Vendor Entry.

Festival admission is included with general museum admission and is free for museum members. Tickets are valid for both days of the event. Museum members and International Sea Glass Association members can access the festival early starting at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 25. Tickets and information are available at mysticseaport.org.

The International Sea Glass Association is a nonprofit organization established in 2005 that supports sea and beach glass collectors. The organization focuses on education, advocacy, and conservation to promote the appreciation of naturally weathered sea and beach glass. It also encourages the preservation and restoration of global waterways and coastlines.
