The multi-Grammy Award-winning band Chicago will bring their signature horn section and classic rock catalog to Wallingford for a performance at the Toyota Oakdale Theatre on November 11, 2026.

Tickets for the newly announced Connecticut tour date become available to the public on Friday, June 12 at 10 a.m.

The upcoming concert marks the band’s 59th consecutive year of touring. Recognized as the highest-charting American group in Billboard magazine’s Top 125 Artists of All Time, Chicago holds the record as the first American rock band to chart top 40 albums across six consecutive decades. Over their career, the band has achieved more than 100 million in record sales, 21 top 10 singles, five consecutive number-one albums, and 49 gold and platinum awards.

The touring lineup continues to feature original members Lee Loughnane on trumpet and vocals, Robert Lamm on keyboards and vocals, and James Pankow on trombone. The touring group also includes Wally Reyes Jr., Tony Obrohta, Justin Avery, Ray Herrmann, Neil Donell, Eric Baines, Ramon “Ray” Yslas, Carlos Murguia, and Nick Lane.

The band’s extensive catalog includes songwriting milestones from Songwriters Hall of Fame inductees Lamm and Pankow, who penned major hits such as “25 or 6 to 4,” “Saturday in the Park,” “Feelin’ Stronger Every Day,” and “Make Me Smile.”

In recent years, the group’s historical work has received renewed archival recognition. In 2025, the Library of Congress inducted their debut album, Chicago Transit Authority, into the National Recording Registry to preserve it for its cultural and historical importance. The band also marked the 50th anniversary of their first greatest hits record with the August 2025 release of Chicago IX: Greatest Hits Expanded, which followed a 2024 live collection release tracking their 1971 performances at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Beyond archival releases, the group released their 38th studio album, Born for This Moment, in 2022 and was the subject of the 2022 documentary The Last Band on Stage. The film documents how the group navigated the 2020 pandemic lockdowns while maintaining their multi-decade annual touring streak.
