New Zealand heavy psych rock duo Earth Tongue will perform at the Space Ballroom in Hamden on September 4 as part of an upcoming United States tour. The performance is part of a multi-coast tour scheduled across August and September, which features a mix of headline and support dates. The tour also includes festival appearances at King Gizzard’s Field Of Vision Festival and Levitation.

The upcoming performances follow the February release of the duo’s third album, Dungeon Vision, which was put out through In The Red Records. Guitarist Gussie Larkin and drummer Ezra Simons, who are currently based in Berlin, wrote the material for the record following a summer touring schedule across Europe and the United Kingdom.

The pair recorded the album in Los Angeles with garage-rock icon Ty Segall. This collaboration developed after Earth Tongue previously supported Segall on tour during his concert dates in New Zealand and Europe.

The band was recently awarded Best Group at the 2025 Aotearoa Music Awards. Their musical style features a combination of top-volume riffs, granite riffs, and sinister vocal harmonies.

The Hamden show will feature tracks from Dungeon Vision, which music publications have noted balances an iron heaviness with psych-folk influences. The duo is touring internationally following the critical acclaim of their latest record.
