Concert review: From the Pyre to College Street Music Hall

College Street Music Hall has been a beacon of musical excellence in the New Haven community since its 2015 opening. Notable names including The Roots, DJO, Gigi Perez, Willie Nelson, and Franz Ferdinand have graced the CSMH stage. Tonight, The Last Dinner Party (TLDP) adds their name to the ever-growing list. TLDP gained immediate traction with the release of their first single, “Nothing Matters”, which served as the lead to their 2024 debut album Prelude to Ecstacy. The quintet comprised of lead vocalist Abigail Morris, bassist Georgia Davies, flutist (bassist and Mandolin player)  Emily Roberts, pianist Aurora Nishevci, and guitarist Lizzie Mayland. Georgia was unfortunately absent from the New Haven date, having flown back to London for treatment of an injury, Abigail informed the concerned audience that she is on the mend and in good spirits.
