The Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the official opening of R & M Cutlet Co. The locally owned Italian deli, located at 575 New Haven Avenue, was established by long-time friends Ryan Trevethan, Matt Nittoly, and Mike Hazzard to bring an authentic deli experience to the Milford community.

The business specializes in handcrafted sandwiches featuring signature chicken cutlets that are prepared fresh daily. According to the owners, the chicken is cut, cleaned, and breaded in-house each day and served on bread baked fresh every morning. The menu includes a variety of sandwich combinations that blend traditional Italian flavors with modern culinary influences.

Beyond its sandwich offerings, R & M Cutlet Co. stocks a selection of imported Italian goods, including specialty oils, pastas, and chips. The deli also provides a rotating menu of hot food items alongside potato salads, pasta dishes, and fresh salads prepared on-site. Co-owner Matt Nittoly noted that the business aims to create an immersive experience, with details ranging from the recipes to the décor designed to tell a specific story.

The owners decided to launch the venture after identifying a need for handcrafted Italian cuisine in the local area. Since the opening, the trio has reported strong community support for the deli. The establishment remains committed to maintaining a local atmosphere while providing high-quality food options for Milford residents and visitors.
