Godsmack returns to Mohegan Sun in October

Multi-platinum rock group Godsmack has announced additional U.S. dates for the Rise of Rock World Tour, including a stop at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville. The concert is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, at 7:00 p.m., with singer Dorothy performing as direct support.

Tickets for the Uncasville performance will go on sale through Ticketmaster on Friday, July 31. Remaining tickets will be available for purchase at the Mohegan Sun Box Office starting Saturday, August 1.

The fall tour follow-up comes after the release of the band’s live album and concert film, Live at Mohegan Sun. The project highlights the group’s “Battle of the Drums” percussion sequence between frontman Sully Erna and drummer Shannon Larkin, along with a live rendition of “When Legends Rise” that recently debuted on the Active Rock Radio charts.

“Battle of the Drums” originated in the mid-1990s and expanded into a dual performance featuring two drum kits and rotating risers after Larkin joined the band. Erna noted that he and Larkin perfected the intricate arrangement over several decades.

Formed in Boston, Godsmack has released eight studio albums, including their 1998 self-titled debut and their 2023 release, Lighting Up the Sky. Over their career, the band has achieved 11 number-one singles at mainstream rock radio and sold more than 20 million records worldwide.
