John Oates brings solo tour to Edmond Town Hall in Newtown on October 23

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee John Oates will perform at Edmond Town Hall in Newtown on October 23 as part of his ongoing 2026 tour. The appearance is included in a national run of dates featuring both full-band R&B concerts and intimate acoustic shows titled “An Evening of Songs and Stories.”

The Newtown performance follows the release of his latest single, “Goodnight Or Goodbye,” which is currently available across digital streaming platforms. The track was originally recorded on tape in 1992 and recently rediscovered by Oates before being re-recorded with 1960s doo-wop vocal harmonies.

Oates is a co-founder of the duo Hall & Oates, which earned 10 No. 1 records and sold over 80 million albums worldwide. Over the past 25 years, he has built a solo career in Nashville’s Americana music scene, releasing eight solo albums alongside his recent self-titled release OATES.

The upcoming tour dates combine selections from his six-decade career in popular music with material from his solo releases. The schedule includes stops across the country and internationally through the remainder of the year.

Tickets and event information for the October 23 show are handled through Edmond Town Hall.
