Little Theatre of Manchester announces performances of 12 Angry Jurors at Cheney Hall

The Little Theatre of Manchester will present the classic legal drama 12 Angry Jurors this summer at Cheney Hall. The production is scheduled to run from July 31 through August 16 at the historic theatre facility located at 177 Hartford Road in Manchester.

The play was written by Sherman L. Sergel and is based on the 1954 Emmy Award-winning teleplay Twelve Angry Men by Reginald Rose. The script was later adapted into an Oscar-nominated 1957 film before being converted into a stage drama. The gender-neutral title utilized for this specific production allows for a diverse casting layout of the central characters.

The narrative centers on twelve jurors who are confined to a single room to deliberate the murder trial of a young man. While the initial evidence points to a quick conviction carrying a mandatory death sentence, a lone juror votes not guilty. This decision forces the group to re-examine the case details alongside their own personal prejudices and backgrounds.

Joy Grabow directs the local cast, which includes Susan Bailey, Adelia Brown, Alec Corrado, J. Blaise DiModugno, Ethan Dotson-Kelly, Jim Douglas, and Gary Korman. The ensemble also features Nick Hemeon, Jennifer Madison, Rick Malone, Bob McGowan, Joseph Roman, and Justin Starr. Matthew Guadio serves as the stage manager for the run.

The production design team consists of Rachel Marie on sets, Lauren Lentini handling costumes, Stacey Navratil managing props, and Lucas Veo overseeing lighting. Performances are scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m.

Ticket prices for the show range from $17 to $32, with designated discounts available for seniors, students, military personnel, and groups. Free parking is available in the lots adjacent to Cheney Hall.
