The Rolling Stones have released a new single titled “Jealous Lover” alongside an exclusive music video starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Charles Melton. The track serves as the latest preview from the band’s upcoming studio album, Foreign Tongues, which is scheduled for a global release on July 10 through Capitol Records. The accompanying music video, directed by Chris Barrett and Luke Taylor, is currently hosting its exclusive premiere on the Amazon Music streaming platform.

The newly unveiled single arrives as a double release alongside “Divine Intervention,” an archival production that marks one of two album tracks to feature guest vocals from The Cure frontman Robert Smith. Musically, the main single transitions from the pop-rock production of their previous release, “In the Stars,” to embrace a traditional, soulful rhythm and blues groove. The arrangement highlights an intentional falsetto lead performance from Mick Jagger as he delivers sharp lyrical observations to an over-inquisitive lover.

Longtime Weston, Connecticut resident Keith Richards provides the melodic backbone for the production alongside fellow guitarist Ronnie Wood. The core rhythm section features coordinated instrumentation from bassist Darryl Jones and drummer Steve Jordan, while veteran collaborator Steve Winwood provides foundational textures on the Rhodes piano and organ. The track also features additional studio performance layers contributed by producer Andrew Watt and keyboard player Matt Clifford.

Simultaneously, the group launched the first installment of their official retrospective audio series, Speaking in Tongues, across all major digital podcast networks. The introductory episode launches a six-part narrative that documents the private songwriting processes, studio tracking sessions, and collaboration histories behind the upcoming record. Listeners will hear reflections from Jagger, Richards, and Wood as they chronicle their creative timeline following the release of their 2023 studio album, Hackney Diamonds.

The documentary audio series also features episodic commentary from producer Andrew Watt, cover artist Nathaniel Mary Quinn, and guest musicians Steve Winwood and Robert Smith. Award-winning songwriter and occasional band collaborator Norah Jones hosts the documentary program.
