Lauren Alaina to headline inaugural Sun Country Fest at Mohegan Sun

Mohegan Sun will debut a new outdoor country music celebration, Sun Country Fest, on the Sun Patio on Saturday, July 25.

The all-ages event begins at 4 p.m. and features a lineup led by multi-platinum country star Lauren Alaina. The festival includes live performances, BBQ from local food trucks, and country-inspired activities such as an inflatable mechanical bull.

Alaina, a member of the Grand Ole Opry, is known for three No. 1 hits, including the platinum-certified Road Less Traveled, the 4x Platinum “ONE BEER” with HARDY and Devin Dawson, and the Diamond-certified “What Ifs” with Kane Brown. Her appearance follows the release of her single “Raining Whiskey.”

The festival lineup also features modern country band American Honey at 4:30 p.m., followed by Nick Bosse and The Northern Roots at 6 p.m. Bosse, a New England native, draws influence from country and southern rock legends.

Food offerings will be provided by Archie Moore’s, House of BBQ & Bacon, and Reel Catch, a new seafood food truck owned by Mohegan Sun.

Tickets are currently available through Ticketmaster. The Mohegan Sun Box Office will begin selling tickets on Wednesday, May 13, subject to availability. Organizers noted that ticket pricing will increase on the day of the event.
