ZZ Top and George Thorogood to bring ‘The Big One!’ Tour to Mohegan Sun Arena

ZZ Top to perform at Mohegan Sun in September 2026 — ZZ Top

ZZ Top has announced an expansion of their ongoing “The Big One!” Tour, including a scheduled performance at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, Sept. 12. The rock legends will be joined for the 8 p.m. show by special guests George Thorogood & The Destroyers.

The current lineup of ZZ Top features founding members Billy F Gibbons and Frank Beard alongside Elwood Francis. The group, which has performed together for more than 50 years, continues to be a major international touring attraction across three continents. The newly announced dates add seven weeks of U.S. stops to a tour that originally launched last month.

“It’s true that we’ve been spending a lot of time on the road, and the more we’re out there, the better it feels,” said Billy Gibbons. “It’s a good time for us and for the generations of fans who appreciate what we do. We’ve been at it for quite a while – something like five decades – and it seems we’re getting good at it, so there’s no reason to slow things down. Let’s rock!”

Tickets for the Mohegan Sun performance will be available for purchase through Ticketmaster beginning Friday, April 24. Remaining tickets will become available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office starting Saturday, April 25.
