Cheyenne Jackson to bring solo show ‘That Guy from That Thing’ to The Bushnell

The Bushnell announced Grammy and Emmy-nominated performer Cheyenne Jackson will bring his new solo production, Cheyenne Jackson: That Guy from That Thing, to the Maxwell M. & Ruth R. Belding Theater on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026.

The show is billed as an intimate evening of music and storytelling, reflecting on Jackson’s prolific but often hard-to-categorize career across Broadway, film, and television. The musical repertoire spans a wide range of genres, featuring the works of Nat King Cole, Elton John, Sara Bareilles, and Leonard Bernstein.

Jackson comes to Hartford following a successful Broadway run in the hit Oh, Mary! and a sold-out solo debut at Carnegie Hall in late 2025.

A veteran of the stage, Jackson’s Broadway credits include Xanadu, All Shook Up, and Finian’s Rainbow. On screen, he is widely recognized for roles in American Horror Story, Glee, and 30 Rock, as well as his Emmy-nominated performance in Julie and the Phantoms.

The 2026 performance is part of a national tour that includes stops in San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Beverly Hills, as well as a filmed program of Broadway favorites for PBS with the American Pops Orchestra.
