Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness is excited to announce a Fall headline tour in support of his 2023 album, Tilt At The Wind No More. The tour will make a stop at New Haven’s College Street Music Hall on November 28th with special guests, Michigander and Arlie.

His new album, Tilt At The Wind No More, was produced by recent Grammy Award-winner Jeremy Hatcher (Harry Styles, Maggie Rogers, Lizzo) and Grammy-nominated Tommy English (Kacey Musgraves, K.Flay, Børns). It is a nostalgia- driven record, capturing McMahon at a turning point in life (celebrating his 40th birthday and 15th wedding anniversary, raising a daughter, working through past traumas in therapy, writing a memoir, and more) that simultaneously looks excitedly to the future. The album features 11 big-hearted songs – penned alongside co-writers including King Tuff, Sammy Witte (SZA, Harry Styles), Robopop (Weezer, Joy Oladokun), Luke Niccoli (Yves Tumor, Carly Rae Jepsen), and Gregg Wattenberg & Derek Furhman (Goo Goo Dolls, Five For Fighting) – that burst with joy and lessons learned. It received critical support from BrooklynVegan, Consequence, FLOOD Magazine, Alternative Press, The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, E! News, Entertainment Tonight, idobi Radio and more.

If anyone understands renewal, it’s Andrew McMahon. Over the last two decades, the veteran indie-pop singer- songwriter has experienced musical rebirth many times, ever since he started entertaining audiences in the ‘00s alt-pop outfit Something Corporate, and he’s consistently arrived on the other side stronger than ever. After leading Something Corporate to major chart success in the early 2000s, McMahon soon resurfaced with the more personal solo project Jack’s Mannequin, then moved on to release numerous hook-packed albums under his own name using the moniker Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. In 2006, following his own battle with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL), he launched the Dear Jack Foundation, which provides programming to benefit adolescents and young adults diagnosed with cancer. McMahon then earned an Emmy Award nomination for songs he composed for the NBC series Smash, and in 2014 released Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, which became his moniker.

Andrew McMahon formed the band Jack’s Mannequin in 2004. On the cusp of releasing their 2005 debut, he was diagnosed with leukemia at age 22. Eventually fully recovered, McMahon went on to release two more studio albums with Jack’s Mannequin and established The Dear Jack Foundation. McMahon then earned an Emmy Award nomination for songs he composed for the NBC series Smash, and in 2014 released Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, which also became his moniker. Last year he released his debut memoir, Three Pianos, and he is currently in the studio working on new music.

Michigander

Buzzworthy indie rock artist Michigander, the sonic alter ego of Michigan native Jason Singer, has released his new single “Stay Out Of It” via C3 Records and announced a fall headlining run, The It Will Never Be The Same Tour, with support from friend Abby Holliday. “Stay Out Of It” follows Michigander’s recent single “In My Head” with Manchester Orchestra which first premiered on SiriusXM Alt Nation’s Advanced Placement. The track has been hailed as “infectious” and “restrained and rollicking all at once,” with American Songwriter declaring, “it’s the kind of song that gets you out of your seat and gets you out of your comfort zone.” The two tracks usher in a new chapter for Michigander, whose 2021 critically lauded EP, Everything Will Be Ok Eventually (C3 Records), elevated his growing career via the Top 5 Triple A radio hit “Let Down” and Top 10 Triple A radio hit “Better.” Tracks from the collection have received immense support across DSPs, with featured placements on key playlists from Apple Music (New Music Daily, ALT CTRL), Spotify (The New Alt, New Music Friday), Pandora (ALT Select Radio), and Amazon Music (Fresh Indie), as well as radio airplay and spins on SiriusXM’s Alt Nation and The Spectrum. Named one of TuneCore’s Top 10 Rock/Alt Artists for 2021, Michigander delivers elevated and eloquent songcraft, uplifting instrumentation, and plainspoken heartland storytelling punctuated by alternative flare. Since 2014, the now Nashville-based singer, songwriter, producer and guitarist has garnered the acclaim of NPR, Paste, SPIN, Forbes, BrooklynVegan, Guitar World, KCRW and many more, in addition to over 50 million

career streams globally. In 2016, his independent debut single “Nineties” achieved viral success, claiming real estate on multiple major Spotify playlists. Michigander’s first two EPs, Midland [2018] and Where Do We Go From Here [2019], have become fan favorites, with the latter’s standout single “Misery” eclipsing 10 million streams and earning Michigander his first Triple A radio hit. On the road, Singer and his band have shared the stage with everyone from Manchester Orchestra, Band of Horses and The Lumineers to Hippo Campus, Mt. Joy and Silversun Pickups, and graced the stages of such marquee festivals as Lollapalooza, Electric Forest, Summerfest, Shaky Knees and more. More from Michigander coming soon!

Arlie

Arlie is a band created by singer-songwriter, composer & multi-instrumentalist Nathaniel Banks. It began in summer 2015 as a solo bedroom project and grew to incorporate a full-band live show by fall 2016. Since Arlie started playing live, Adam Lochemes and Carson Lystad have been part of the performing ensemble on drums and guitar, respectively. Ryan Savage joined on bass in 2018. During the pandemic and the year prior, everyone involved in the group wound up going through some of the hardest times of their lives, in one way or another. But despite some major setbacks and challenges, they managed to come together and finish a debut full-length album as a team, with Ryan and Adam as co- producers alongside Nathaniel, Carson as a trusted go-to perspective, all together bringing a new batch of Banks’ songs and demos to full fruition. After finishing the record, the group added Noah Luna to the performing ensemble as a backing vocalist and multi-instrumentalist to complete the live show.
