Ying Yang Twins set to perform at Mohegan Sun’s Sun Patio in September

Hip-hop duo Ying Yang Twins will headline a performance at Mohegan Sun’s Sun Patio on Sunday, Sept. 6, the resort announced Wednesday.

The 8:00 p.m. show is part of the Sun Patio Concert Series, an outdoor event residency held at the Uncasville destination. The performance will be general admission and is scheduled to take place rain or shine.

Tickets for the event go on sale Friday, April 17, through Ticketmaster. In-person ticket purchases will be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office starting Saturday, April 18.

Comprised of members D-Roc and Kaine, the Ying Yang Twins first rose to prominence in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Their debut single, “Whistle While You Twurk,” reached No. 17 on the U.S. R&B/Hip-Hop chart. The duo is widely known for the platinum-certified albums “Me & My Brother” and “U.S.A. (United State of Atlanta),” which produced hits such as “Salt Shaker,” “What’s Happnin!” and “Naggin’.”

The group also gained significant commercial success through collaborations, including the 2002 hit “Get Low” with Lil Jon & the Eastside Boyz and the track “I Got That (Boom Boom)” on Britney Spears’ “In the Zone” album.

The Sun Patio at Mohegan Sun serves as a premier outdoor event space and includes a full bar and deck for guests 21 and older. Additional information regarding the concert series and venue policies can be found at the Mohegan Sun website.
