Woodcock Nature Center announces annual Under the Harvest Moon fundraiser in September

Woodcock Nature Center will host its annual Under the Harvest Moon fundraising event on Saturday, September 26, at 7 p.m. The fall event takes place at the center’s pavilion and pond, supporting environmental education programs, school outreach, and scholarships.

The fundraiser gathers nearly 200 attendees each year and generates more than $60,000 for the nonprofit organization. Woodcock Nature Center relies on fundraising and donations to maintain its 152-acre preserve and year-round public programming.

Guests at the outdoor event will receive food prepared by chefs Sarah and Bernard Bouïssou of À Table in Ridgefield. The evening also features wine from Cellar XV Wine Market, spirits from Litchfield Distillery, beer from Nod Hill Brewery, desserts, coffee, and live music by Matt Greene and Dave Gould.

A virtual silent auction will run prior to the event, opening to the public on September 12 and closing on September 19. A live auction during the fundraiser will feature vacation getaways and exclusive nature center experiences.

Organizers suggest campground chic attire for the casual, cocktail-style gathering, which takes place rain or shine for attendees aged 21 and older. VIP ticket options are available, offering reserved picnic table seating for six, personalized charcuterie from 109 Cheese & Wine, beverage selections, and reserved parking at higher tiers.

Tickets are priced at $150 before increasing to $175 on September 1, while VIP tables start at $1,200. Event registration, sponsorship details, and auction donation forms are accessible through the Woodcock Nature Center website.
