Siberian Husky Sled Dog Meet & Greet with Connecticut Valley Siberian Husky Club
Come meet the dogs of the Connecticut Valley Siberian Husky Club and learn about this special nordic breed. The Connecticut Valley Siberian Husky Club will be doing a continuous mushing demonstration throughout 10am-2pm to showcase the dogs in harness with some of the equipment that is used to train teams from one dog to six or more, including bikes, scooters, or rigs for dryland, and sleds for snow. Watch the demonstration and then chat with the team and find out all the great things they do with their dogs! Demonstrations every hour: 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm & 1:30pm.
This event is free and open to the public.
The Siberian Husky Sled Dogs will be outside at the Apple Barrel Farm Market on Saturday, January 11th from 10am-2pm.
Head inside the Apple Barrel Farm Market at 11am for some fun BINGO! Free to play, win great prizes! Three rounds, prizes each round for the winner! No reservations needed.
The Bridgeport Islanders Mascot, Storm, will make a special appearance from 10am – 2pm at the Apple Barrel Farm Market! Find out their upcoming hockey games and learn about their upcoming event on March 9th, Pucks & Paws here.Enjoy kids street hockey activities while you hang out with Storm!
Stop inside the Apple Barrel Farm Market for some delicious treats & lunch before or after visiting with the husky’s. We will have festive cupcake and cookie decorating kits available to purchase inside to decorate at the store or take home!

Goat Strolls with Bradley Mountain Farm
Go on a relaxing Goat Stroll with one of Bradley Mountain Farm’s cute and cuddly goats and then warm up at the Apple Barrel Farm Market. This 30-minute walk let’s you roam around the pond at Lyman Orchards and let your goat feat on forage around the grounds. During the stroll, guests can explore and allow the goat to graze, take photos with their goat, and receive a bag of goat treats!
After the walk, visitors can stay and shop at the Apple Barrel Farm Market. And, did we mention, each Goat Stroll ticket holder receives a FREE apple cider donut! Just show your ticket reservation at the Apple Barrel Bakery to receive your donut.
Minors cannot make reservations to handle a goat alone, but can be added as an additional helper to assist an adult handler on the goat walk. There must be at least 1 adult person who will be the handler for each goat.

Whether you’re a stationery nerd, DIY Bride-to-be, or just a crafty individual, in this workshop you’ll be learning an introduction to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink. We will cover all the basics and get you ready to add those special lettered details to your Galentine’s cards. The perfect crafty night out!

Class Expectations: Yes, lefties are welcome too! This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before. We teach the basics and our expectation for you is to have ink flowing through your nib with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style! If you have tried calligraphy out before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you to this lovely form of art!
A note on bringing guests 16 and under: We love to share this passion with kids. You are welcome to get a ticket for your child as long as you are comfortable with people around them having a drink or two. We do ask that anyone under the age of 16 is to be accompanied by a ticketed adult at all times.
