Wilton Playshop announces cast for musical comedy ‘Nunsense’

Wilton Playshop (15 Lovers Lane, Wilton, CT 06897) has announced the cast for its upcoming production of the high-spirited musical comedy Nunsense, opening April 24, 2026.

Directed by John Atkin, with music direction by Ken Knox and choreography by Christine Titus, the show follows five quirky nuns from the Little Sisters of Hoboken as they stage a variety show to raise funds after a culinary mishap leaves much of their convent in need of burial funds. Known for its catchy songs, tap-dancing habits, and audience interaction, Nunsense blends sweet silliness with sharp wit. Since its 1985 debut, the show has entertained audiences worldwide.

The cast includes Claire Mailhot as Reverend Mother Mary Regina, Jen Danenberg as Sister Mary Amnesia, Ashley Rockwood as Sister Robert Anne, Amy Morris as Sister Mary Hubert, and Em Lubbers as Sister Mary Leo.

Performances are scheduled for April 24–May 9, with a new Friday and Saturday curtain time of 7:30 p.m. Matinee performances are set for April 25 and May 3 at 2 p.m.
