Wilton Historical Society to host ‘Etuaptmumk: Two-Eyed Seeing’ lecture

The Wilton Historical Society will host an interactive lecture, “Etuaptmumk: Two-Eyed Seeing,” featuring Darlene Kascak, educational outreach ambassador and traditional storyteller from the Schaghticoke Tribal Nation. The event explores the Mi’kmaw concept of Two-Eyed Seeing, which encourages learning from both Indigenous and Western knowledge to foster collaboration and leave a positive impact on future generations.

Kascak, who also serves as Educational Outreach Ambassador at the Institute for American Indian Studies Museum and Research Center, will lead an interactive discussion on applying Two-Eyed Seeing in daily life. She develops educational programs at the museum that highlight the 12,000-year history of Quinnetukut’s Indigenous Peoples.

The lecture on March 14, 2026, is free for Wilton Historical Society members and $10 per person for non-members. Click here to register.
