Westville Music Bowl, College Street Music Hall, and Space Ballroom move to all-in ticket pricing
Westville Music Bowl, College Street Music Hall, and Space Ballroom announce a transition to all-in ticket pricing structure, effective immediately. This will allow fans to see the full cost of the ticket, including fees, from the moment they start shopping.
As Connecticut’s leading independent music venues and as a member of The National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) since its inception in 2020, New Haven Center for Performing Arts venues Westville Music Bowl and College Street Music Hall , along with Space Ballroom , support a simplified ticket buying process that ensures transparency for fans of live music. Under this new ticket buying structure, the price displayed during ticket selection will include all fees, taxes, and service charges. Concertgoers will not be surprised by hidden fees during checkout, offering a more straightforward ticket purchasing experience.
NIVA has championed transparency and fairness in ticketing prices through its Fix the Tix plan, which includes ensuring every fan has the full ticket price up-front as one of its main pillars of their detailed roadmap to ticketing reform. Details here.
The news of moving to all-in ticket pricing comes off last weeks announcement that College Street Music Halland Space Ballroom are now waiving any cut of artist merchandise so artists will be earning 100% of the revenue from merch sales, for all shows hosted at the venues.
Premier Concerts / Manic Presents is leading the industry in providing transparency with all-in ticketing pricing and encourages the rest of the live industry to follow in these efforts.
