Westport opens up the runway this Saturday to support local businesses and Homes of Hope

The Westport Downtown Association is excited to announce the 3rd annual Fashionably Westport runway show, featuring the latest styles from scores of our downtown merchants and beauty salons. Modeled by local friends and celebrities, the event will be exciting and bolder than ever, staged in the stunningly reimagined Westport Library Trefz Forum with a raised runway and professional sound and lighting. To add substance to style, a portion of the proceeds from this year’s event will benefit Homes with Hope in Westport, an agency dedicated to ending homelessness in Fairfield County. Enjoy a dazzling and social night of fashion and music for a great cause, Saturday March 4th at 7pm, followed by a full day of in-store activities and promotions on Sunday, March 5th, 2023.
Fashionably Westport’s runway program of style with substance, blends fashion with fun, creating a night out in Downtown Westport with cocktails by Don Memo brought to you by Titos and Tuck Gin, plus wine from Cape Classics, Paul Buisse & Excelsior from Ninety 9 Bottles of Westport. In addition, there will be light bites prepared by local favorite, Walrus Alley and bottled water provided by Rye Ridge Deli. New this year, guests will also be treated to Precious Oysters which is a tide-to-table raw bar catering service specializing in oysters and clams, committed to supporting sustainable seafood by creating boutique raw bars for private events.
Blossom + Stem will be providing the stunning flower arrangements. DJ Paul Lacano will be back for runway music and cocktail hour following the show, plus all patrons will receive a gift bag loaded with gifts from participating merchants, sponsors and salons. We are thankful to have members of the Artistex Salon backstage to assist with styling touch ups and T.A.O. Modeling Agency for doing backstage hospitality for our models walking in the show! SugarKrispCo will also be providing our attendees with some unique sushi candy desserts!

The WDA is proud to welcome Courtney Davis as the MC of the event. She is a Texas-born, NYC-seasoned, Connecticut-based comedian who splits her time between Westport and Palm Beach where she is the creative director of a 1920’s era boutique hotel. This is not Courtney’s first event in support of Homes with Hope – she was one of the Comedians at their “Stand up for Comedy” event in June that was held at The Westport Library. Courtney is also the host of “Courting with Courtney” on the Anna and Raven Show on Star 99.9. She performs comedy all over Connecticut as well as in NYC. With her love of Westport, support of the Westport Downtown Association, Homes with Hope and The Westport Library, having Courtney as the MC of this event guarantees it will be a night of laughs to remember.
Amy Guzzi is back as the Runway Director this year. Amy is a fashion stylist and stylish mom living in Weston, CT, who has mastered the art of looking gorgeous all the time, and helping her clients and social media followers do the same. Amy’s self-described style is “classic and traditional” with a mix of old and new. She specializes in the art of mixing high end staple pieces with my favorite budget finds.
The fashion and fun does not end on Saturday! All day Sunday, March 5th, participating stores will host in-store events and promotions including pop-ups, trunk shows, giveaways and more, offering a perfect opportunity for patrons to shop the runway looks and support our local businesses.
