Westport Book Sale’s Mimi Greenlee to be honored by The Friends of Connecticut Libraries
Congratulate Mimi Greenlee for The Friends of Connecticut Libraries (FOCL) Individual Achievement Award for her exceptional volunteer service and lifetime achievement with the Westport Book Sale. FOCL will honor Mimi’s dedication to libraries at its annual meeting on June 10.
Honored volunteer Mimi Greenlee has been a leader with the Westport Library Book Sale for over twenty years. She has managed the book sale’s inventory and co-chaired many events with great success. Greenlee has also trained and supervised many volunteers, and her cheerful demeanor and organizational skills make her an invaluable asset.
The Friends of the Connecticut Libraries (FOCL) is a nonprofit organization that provides assistance to Library support or “Friends” groups statewide, to help them better support their associated libraries. Westport Book Sale Ventures, the non-profit that operates the Westport Library’s Book Sales, the Westport Book Shop, and online book sales, is a library support organization and a member of FOCL.
Westport Book Sale Ventures’ Board of Directors issued this statement: “We are very gratified that Mimi is being recognized by FOCL. Mimi has generously shared countless hours of dedicated leadership, inspiration and encouragement with hundreds of book sale volunteers over the years. Even greater than her organizational skills (which are considerable!) are her people and motivational skills. Mimi Greenlee is both a mentor and a friend.”
