Westoberfest returns to Westport on October 4, featuring craft beer, family activities, and live music

Westport’s popular fall celebration, Westoberfest Craft Beer and Family Fall Festival, returns for its eighth year on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 12:00 to 6:00 PM at Sigrid Schulz Plaza on Elm Street. The event brings together craft beer enthusiasts, families, and the community for an afternoon of drinks, food, music, and fun.

Beer lovers can sample a wide variety of local and regional brews, from crisp lagers and bold IPAs to rich stouts and seasonal cocktails. Non-alcoholic options will also be available. The tasting tent is open from 1:00 to 5:00 PM, and attendees receive a punch ticket to guide their tasting experience. Completed punch tickets can be submitted for a chance to win raffle prizes.

Castle Wine & Spirits joins the tasting area this year as sommeliers, offering seasonal wines and curated pairings for the fall season.

Westoberfest offers more than beverages. Families can enjoy face painting, pumpkin decorating, and flower crown making, as well as a petting zoo hosted by Kelly’s Kids. On-site vendors include Beyond Yoga, Filling in the Blanks, Hughie’s Jewelry & Coins, Inclusive Brew, Joli Lily, Leaf Filter, Legacy Martial Arts, New Mom School Westport, Real + Co, Renewal by Anderson, and others.

Food options feature traditional German fare from Colossal Kielbasa, as well as local favorites such as Haven Hot Chicken, Paradise Island Food, COBS Bread, Sushi Jin, and LemonNate’s lemonade.

The festival’s live music lineup begins with Dan Tressler from 12:30 to 2:30 PM, followed by One Bad Oyster from 2:30 to 5:30 PM. The ska-surf band from Fairfield County is known for energetic performances that keep the crowd moving.

Westoberfest contests return this year, including the stein-holding challenge and a hot dog eating competition. CBS News Weather Anchor and Westport resident Lonnie Quinn returns as host. Competitions take place on the main stage, where participants can compete or cheer on friends and neighbors.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at westportdowntown.com/westoberfest. Beer tasting participants (21+) receive an age-verified wristband, tasting punch card, collectible Westoberfest glass, and koozie, sponsored by Lux Bond & Green.
