Webb Deane Stevens Museum to host Homes for the Holidays Preview Party, House Tour December 5–6

The Webb Deane Stevens Museum • 211 Main St, Wethersfield, CT 06109 will ring in the holiday season with its annual Homes for the Holidays Preview Party and House Tour, offering two days of festive celebration across the museum’s historic properties and select private residences.

The festivities begin Friday, Dec. 5, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. with an exclusive Preview Party at the Silas Deane House. Guests will enjoy seasonal bites and beverages, live carolers, and candlelight tours of the WDS houses, each decorated by professional designers. The evening offers a rare opportunity to experience the historic homes after dark, complete with music and holiday ambiance.

Preview Party tickets are $125 per person. Benefactor and Patron options are also available at higher levels, including a Patron ticket for $250 per person and Benefactor tickets for $500, which admit two.

The celebration continues Saturday, Dec. 6, with the Homes for the Holidays House Tour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This year’s tour includes private homes, the Silas Robbins Inn—recently redesigned by Sal Modifica of Modifica Interiors—the Buttolph-Williams House featuring historical reenactors, the seldom-opened Hurlbut-Dunham House, and all three WDS houses decorated for the season. Designers from both Wethersfield and New York contributed to the displays.

Visitors may purchase a boxed lunch in advance, and the Holcombe Education Center will be open throughout the day, offering cocoa, cookies, and festive music. The Gift Shop will also be open, with museum members receiving 25% off all purchases during the event.

House Tour tickets are $70 per person, or $95 with a boxed lunch.
