Waitress 10th anniversary tour coming to The Bushnell in Hartford

The Bushnell has announced that single tickets for the upcoming 10th anniversary tour of the Broadway musical Waitress will go on sale Friday, Sept. 25, at 10 a.m.

The show will play at the Hartford venue from March 30 through April 4, 2027. Tickets go on sale on September 25, 2026 via bushnell.org or the box office.

Featuring music and lyrics by Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles, the story centers on Jenna, a small-town waitress and pie-maker facing a difficult marriage. A nearby baking contest and a new relationship present her with an opportunity for a fresh start.

Waitress originally opened on Broadway at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on April 24, 2016, based on the 2007 film written by Adrienne Shelly. It made Broadway history as the first musical to feature women in the top four creative team positions.

The original creative team includes a book by Jessie Nelson, choreography by Lorin Latarro, and direction by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus. For the tour, direction and choreography are re-created by Abbey O’Brien.

The tour production features scenic design by Scott Pask, costume design by Suttirat Anne Larlarb, lighting design by Ken Billington, sound design by Brian Walters, and hair design by Bernie Ardia. Music supervision and arrangements are by Nadia DiGiallonardo, with orchestrations by Bareilles and The Waitress Band.
