Vets Rock returns to Mohegan Sun on Nov. 11
9th annual benefit for veterans and active duty military to take place in the Uncas Ballroom on Saturday, November 11th
On Saturday, November 11th, Mohegan Sun and the community will come together for a day that both honors and provides indispensable programs and resources to veterans and active duty military members. Vets Rock at Mohegan Sun is focused on enhancing the lives of our service members through a job fair, Veteran Service Organizations and other resources. Veterans and active duty military members can pre-register for this year’s event through the Mohegan Sun website. Registration is encouraged, but not required to attend Vets Rock.
Opening Ceremony
Vets Rock 2023 will begin with an opening ceremony located in The Shops at Mohegan Sun at 11:00am, where members of the Mohegan Sun Executive Team along with other influential speakers will discuss the importance of the military and show their gratitude for Veterans. The Mohegan Tribal Color Guard will post flags for a live performance and the Norwich Free Academy Choir will perform the National Anthem to kick off this special day.
Vets Rock Expo
From Noon – 4:00pm, guests are invited to attend the free Vets Rock Expo inside Mohegan Sun’s Uncas Ballroom, located in the Sky Convention Center. The expo will feature tables hosted by Veteran Service Organizations, educational services and companies looking to provide benefits to Veterans and military members. This year, Yale New Haven Health will be offering complimentary flu shots to everyone in attendance. A job fair hosted by Mohegan Sun will also be available during the expo to assist service members and their families in accessing career opportunities.
As a thank you to the troops, both past and present, Mohegan Sun regularly offers military discounts to all active-duty military personnel, veterans and military dependents at more than 40 shops and dining locations across property. Guests must present a valid Military ID. A full list of the discount program can be found on the Mohegan Sun website.
