Travelers Championship getting ready to put its signature on the 2025 PGA Tour Season
Travelers will become longest-serving title sponsor of Connecticut’s PGA TOUR event
The 2025 Travelers Championship will be the final Signature Event on the PGA TOUR schedule this season, featuring the world’s top players in four rounds of elite competition. In addition to this being the third year of the tournament having elevated TOUR status, it will mark the 19th consecutive year that Travelers has served as title sponsor, the longest any company has held that position in the event’s history.
The Travelers Championship is the only PGA TOUR event held in the Northeast. This year’s tournament dates are June 18-22 at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut.

Our team is working hard to deliver another exceptional experience for everyone at TPC River Highlands this June.”
On top of the thrilling golf action that the event has become known for, the Travelers Championship creates a lasting impact on its surrounding community. Since Travelers became title sponsor in 2007, the tournament has generated record amounts for local charities, including the most ever in 2024 – more than $3.2 million – which was distributed to 206 organizations. With the tournament generating more than $31 million for over 900 charities under Travelers’ title sponsorship, there is equal importance placed on delivering a great golf tournament and driving meaningful and much needed financial support to nonprofits across the region.
Travelers has a title sponsorship agreement with the PGA TOUR through 2030, and the tournament is slated to be a prestigious Signature Event every year during that time.
Being a PGA TOUR Signature Event provides an elevated tournament purse of $20 million, offers increased FedExCup points to the winner (700) and eliminates the 36-hole cut. The 2024 Travelers Championship included seven of the top eight players in the Official World Golf Ranking and was won in a playoff by Scottie Scheffler, the Number 1-ranked player in the world.

Corporate ticket packages are available now, and individual tickets are expected to go on sale in early April.
As a Signature Event, players must qualify for the Travelers Championship based on the following performance criteria, ensuring the participation of 72 of the TOUR’s best players:
- Top 50 players from the 2024 PGA TOUR FedExCup standings.
- Top 10 players from the 2025 PGA TOUR FedExCup standings who did not finish in the top 50 of the 2024 FedExCup standings, through the U.S. Open.
- Top 5 players, not exempt via a higher category, who accumulate the most FedExCup points from three tournaments – Myrtle Beach Classic, Charles Schwab Challenge and RBC Canadian Open – leading into the Travelers Championship.
- Players who win a full-points PGA TOUR tournament during the 2025 season.
- PGA TOUR members in the top 30 in the Official World Golf Ranking, not exempt via a higher category, through the U.S. Open.
