The Wilton Playshop will open its 2025–26 season with Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler’s legendary musical thriller, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Directed and choreographed by Todd Santa Maria with music direction by Will Mandelbaum, this dark and witty Tony Award-winning masterpiece brings audiences into 19th-century London for a chilling tale of love, murder, and revenge. With Sondheim’s unforgettable score and a story that is as gripping as it is gruesome, Sweeney Todd remains one of Broadway’s most haunting works.
