The Meadows Music Theatre restores historic name ahead of 2026 Season

In a nod to its storied past, Xfinity Theatre is returning to its original name: The Meadows Music Theatre. The Hartford venue announced the change as it prepares for a new season of major concerts and special events.

Two shows have already been confirmed for 2026, with tickets on sale now. MGK will perform on June 6, followed by country star Riley Green on Aug. 14. More performances are expected to be announced in the months ahead.

The Meadows Music Theatre has long been considered one of New England’s premier live entertainment destinations, drawing more than 30,000 fans to its indoor-outdoor amphitheater each summer. For more than 20 years, the venue has hosted top artists across genres and served as a cultural hub for Connecticut and the region.

The return to its original name marks a new chapter for a venue deeply woven into the state’s live music history, as it looks ahead to another packed summer season.

Fairfield Theatre Company is ringing in the holiday season with a lively lineup of performances throughout December. Highlights include multiple performances of A Christmas Carol: The Musical on Dec. 12, 13, and 14, a holiday-themed Holiday In The Warehouse show on Dec. 10, and concerts from artists like Bob Schneider and Steve Poltz on Dec. 9, TAB Benoit on Dec. 13, Built to Spill on Dec. 16, and Caravan of Thieves on Dec. 20. Music fans can also catch Yacht Lobsters, The Alpaca Gnomes, The Weight Band, The Crystal Pyramid Band, and CTGB Night, while educational programming features Teachrock on Dec. 17.
