The Glebe House Museum announces the Marshall Children’s Young Docent Program

The Marshall Children’s Young Docent Program invites children ages 6 and up to step back in time and explore life in the 19th century through hands-on learning and engaging activities. Sessions are held on select Thursday afternoons from 4:00 to 5:30 PM.

Fall Session Dates: October 2 & 16, November 6 & 20, December 4 & 18
Theme: Harvest & Holidays in the 19th Century

Program Highlights

Guided Tours: Learn to lead visitors through the Glebe House and grounds, sharing fascinating stories and historical facts.
Interactive Workshops: Participate in candle making, quill writing, and open-hearth cooking to experience colonial life firsthand.
Colonial Crafts: Explore traditional crafts and create your own colonial-era-inspired creations.
Museum Visits: Enjoy field trips to local museums to deepen your knowledge of the region’s history.
Garden Exploration: Discover the Gertrude Jekyll Garden, its historic design, and the plants that flourish there.
