Two of Motown’s most celebrated groups, The Commodores and The Spinners, will share the stage for an evening of classic hits and love songs at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, Feb. 14, at 7 p.m.

The Valentine’s weekend concert promises a night of soulful favorites from both legendary acts, whose music has shaped R&B, funk, and pop for generations. Tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 16, through Ticketmaster, with in-person sales beginning Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Mohegan Sun Box Office.

Formed in 1968 at Tuskegee Institute, the Commodores rose to international fame after being discovered by Motown founder Berry Gordy. The group has sold more than 60 million records worldwide and remains best known for enduring hits such as “Brick House,” “Sail On” and “Machine Gun.” More than five decades into their career, the Commodores continue to tour globally, bringing their signature blend of funk, soul and pop to audiences of all ages.

Sharing the bill are the Spinners, one of R&B’s most influential vocal groups and 2023 inductees into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. With a career spanning more than 60 years, the Detroit-born group helped define the smooth “Philadelphia Soul” sound with classics including “I’ll Be Around,” “Could It Be I’m Falling in Love,” “Then Came You,” and “The Rubberband Man.” Their accolades include multiple Grammy nominations, 18 gold and platinum albums, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Together, the two groups will offer fans a rare chance to experience a double bill of Motown-era icons in one night, celebrating decades of music that continues to resonate across generations.
