Summer of Sound: Free Children’s Concert Series returns to Levitt Pavilion

Westport’s Levitt Pavilion (40 Jesup Rd, Westport, CT 06880) is turning up the volume on family fun this summer with the return of its Free-Ticket Children’s Series, a beloved lineup of concerts and pre-show activities designed especially for kids and families. From Grammy-winning artists and bilingual sing-alongs to cowboy tunes, magic shows, and community celebrations, this year’s series is packed with music, movement, and memories in the making.

Kicking off on June 11, the series opens with Divi Roxx Kids, led by the 2x Grammy-nominated bassist and former Beyoncé musical director Divinity Roxx. Known for her empowering lyrics and high-energy stage presence, Roxx’s show is designed to inspire confidence and creativity through music.

On June 18, Brady Rymer & The Little Band That Could take the stage with a joyful rock ‘n’ roll sound and a strong message of inclusion. Face-painting, a magician, and giveaways from sponsors, including Bernstein Private Wealth Management and Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital will make this show a standout.

Another early highlight is The Hall Family & Friends on June 25, where the music comes with a message: water safety. Stewie the Duck and the Stew Leonard III Water Safety Foundation join the lineup alongside a touch-a-truck experience and giveaways designed to educate and delight.

As July rolls in, audiences will travel the world through music with Elena Moon Park (July 1), dance to Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Joanie Leeds (July 9), and join the cowboy-themed fun with Hopalong Andrew (July 15), a former NYC park ranger turned urban troubadour. Each concert includes pre-show activities, with consistent appearances by the Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital’s specialty ambulance and interactive giveaway tables.

The series continues with dynamic duo Fyütch & Aura V (July 23), blending hip hop and family harmony, and Flor Bromley (July 30), a Latin Grammy-nominated artist whose bilingual, theatrical performances celebrate global rhythms and storytelling.

August brings a strong finish with Danny Weinkauf & His Red Pants Band (August 6), featuring music by the longtime bassist for They Might Be Giants; Miss Tutti & The Fruity Band (August 13), a joyful, inclusive musical project centered on self-expression and LGBTQ+ representation; and finally, The Dirty Sock Funtime Band (August 19), closing out the season with a high-energy celebration for the special needs community.

Presented in partnership with “Nate & Eve Presents,” the finale event has become a cherished tradition in Westport—a sensory-friendly, inclusive celebration designed to honor children of all abilities.

All Children’s Series shows begin at 7 PM, with the lawn opening at 6 PM. Free tickets can be reserved in advance online to guarantee entry, or guests can visit the onsite box office two hours before showtime for first-come-first-served access to any returned or unclaimed tickets.

This series isn’t just about music—it’s about community, accessibility, and shared experiences under the stars.
