Stags to welcome First Responders to Men’s Basketball on Sunday
Fairfield University will honor and celebrate all first responders during a men’s basketball game on campus against Marist, on Sunday, January 7, at 2 p.m., at Leo D. Mahoney Arena.
Events begin at 12:30 p.m. when all children are invited to participate in a Touch-a-Truck event outside Mahoney Arena, featuring vehicles from the Town of Fairfield Fire and Police Departments, Connecticut State Police, Connecticut EMS, and Fairfield University Department of Public Safety.
Fairfield’s Police and Fire Departments are promoting the event throughout their ranks. The organization that sells the most tickets will receive a check from Fairfield University to benefit either the Fairfield Police Foundation or Fairfield Fire Fighters Charitable Foundation.
All first responders, emergency services personnel, active-duty military, and military veterans may purchase discounted tickets at the Fairfield University ticket office on game day.
