Southern California band FIDLAR have revealed a handful of brand new North American headlining shows today, adding to their winter 2024 tour supporting Oliver Tree. Interlaced between their dates with Oliver Tree, the group will bring their rowdy live presence to seven additional cities across the US beginning this January. Pre-sale tickets for the newly announced headlining shows are available now, with general on-sale beginning tomorrow at 10AM local time. On the heels of two recent new single releases – “Move On” and “Nudge,” which Stereogum called “a playfully snotty rager with some memorable and endearingly stupid lyrics” – this winter’s tour will follow a busy autumn for the trio in which they (just about) lived onstage. Globetrotting with a string of concerts that spanned both the U.S. and Europe, FIDLAR spent a week delivering their high-octane live show to venues in Florida – aptly dubbed the Floriduh Tour – before heading across the pond to perform in the UK and France. From beach-side clubs to London’s famed KOKO, FIDLAR continue to do what they do best: fuck shit up and play gnarly sets. As stated by FLOOD Magazine, “the group still has plenty of gas in the tank, both in terms of creativity and raw energy. Perhaps this fact is most evident in their live show.”

Both “Move On” and “Nudge” mark the band’s first pieces of original new music since the release of their recent stripped-down EP unplug and their comeback EP That’s Life earlier this year. Initially released in September, “Nudge” is a song that transforms a simple opening staccato into an unruly stampede of distortion dedicated to the friends in life that need a push in the right direction to get their shit together.
Storming back from a four year hiatus earlier this year, FIDLAR dropped their That’s Life EP in March of 2023, their first official project since 2019’s ALMOST FREE. Featuring “Centipede,” “FSU,” “Sand On The Beach,” and “On Drugs,” the EP is a journey for the trio comprised of Zac Carper, Max Kuehn, and Brandon Schwartzel. First teasing the release of That’s Life last August with “FSU”, the band electrified fans around the world & garnered acclaim from the likes of THE FADER, FLOOD Magazine, Hypebeast, Loudwire, Consequence, and SPIN, who stated that the EP sees FIDLAR “continue doing what they do best: throwing some of the best punk rock parties on the planet and writing catchy songs about booze and drugs.”
With That’s Life, the trio began a new era that’s back-to-basics, yet larger than FIDLAR’s ever sounded before. Loud, feral, and primed to be ignited on stage, the band teamed up with recording legend Dave Sardy (Spoon, LCD Soundsystem, Red Hot Chili Peppers) to record the EP at the famed Shangri-La in Malibu, CA. That’s Life – a title that’s borrowed from a tattoo inspired by a skate video – is the new era of FIDLAR, and yet the truest version of themselves they’ve ever been. It’s a middle finger to the concept of taking life too seriously, and taking the simplicities of life for granted.
