Quassy Amusement Park and Waterpark Supports National Water Safety Month
Quassy Highlights Lifeguard Certification for Enhanced Safety and Awareness
Quassy Amusement Park and Waterpark is proud to announce its active participation in National Water Safety Month not just in May, but every month of the season. As the waterpark opened for the season over Memorial Day Weekend, the lifeguards at Splash Away Bay and Quassy Lake’s beachfront are fully certified to ensure the safety of all guests.
National Water Safety Month emphasizes several key points, including the vital role of swimming and aquatic activities in promoting physical and mental health and enhancing quality of life. This initiative, endorsed by Governor Ned Lamont and supported by various state representatives, highlights the critical importance of water safety education in preventing drownings and injuries related to water activities.
“Making sure everyone has a safe and fun time at Quassy is our top priority,” said Eric Anderson, President of Quassy Amusement Park and Waterpark. “National Water Safety Month is a great reminder for all of us to brush up on water safety. Our lifeguards go through rigorous training to be ready for anything, and we’re committed to spreading the word about how important it is. It’s all about keeping our guests safe and helping them make the best memories.”
As a dedicated member of the World Waterpark Association, Quassy highlights its commitment to safety through a robust lifeguard certification program for all new hires. This program ensures that all lifeguards are highly trained and certified, ready to safeguard guests as they enjoy the park’s attractions and Lake Quassapaug this season.
