Playhouse on Park announces ‘Under 40 Night’ featuring comedy ‘The Lifespan of a Fact’

Playhouse on Park is inviting theatergoers under the age of 40 to a special networking and performance event on Thursday, April 30. The evening will feature a pre-show reception followed by a production of the sharp, thought-provoking comedy “The Lifespan of a Fact.”

The event begins with a 6 p.m. reception featuring complimentary wine provided by Latitude Beverage Co., along with beer and light snacks. Following the reception, the 7:30 p.m. performance explores the high-stakes world of journalism through the story of an ambitious intern tasked with fact-checking a groundbreaking essay by a celebrated writer.

Written by Jeremy Kareken, David Murrell, and Gordon Farrell, the play is based on the critically acclaimed book by John D’Agata and Jim Fingal. The narrative follows the tensions that rise when meticulous scrutiny begins to unravel a writer’s narrative, forcing the audience to consider the fine line between literal fact and artistic interpretation.
