PBR returns to Bridgeport with the “Unleash the Beast” tour in February

For the first time in history, Bridgeport will host the most electrifying tour in Western sports when PBR’s premier series, Unleash The Beast, charges into Total Mortgage Arena (600 Main St, Bridgeport, CT 06604) on February 27–28, 2025. While this marks the Professional Bull Riders’ third visit to the city, it will be the debut of its elite top-tier tour, bringing with it the world’s best bull riders, the rankest bulls, and two nights of non-stop adrenaline.

Bridgeport previously welcomed the PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour over the past two seasons, following the organization’s city debut in spring 2024. Now, the action will reach new heights as Unleash The Beast delivers the sport’s top athletes—both human and bovine—for an unforgettable weekend of grit, determination, and danger.

Each night, riders will face off against powerful bulls in unpredictable 8-second showdowns, testing the limits of balance, strength, and courage. Known as America’s Original Extreme Sport, PBR blends athleticism, entertainment, and high drama in a spectacle unlike anything else.

At the 2025 Bridgeport Velocity Tour event, Ramon de Lima captured the win by going 3-for-3 with an aggregate score of 238 points, edging out Aaron Williams by 13 points. De Lima rode Double Nickle for 76 points, Wildfire for 78.5, and sealed his victory with an 83.5-point ride on CoJo in the final round.

PBR Bridgeport will serve as the 11th stop in the 18-event 2025-26 Unleash The Beast season. Each event contributes to the riders’ qualification for the prestigious PBR World Finals in Fort Worth, Texas, where the best in the sport compete for championship glory. The 2025 season drew more than 516,000 fans across North America, with 29 sold-out event days.

Tickets go on sale Monday, October 20, and will be available at the Yale New Haven Health Box Office at Total Mortgage Arena, online at Ticketmaster.com and PBR.com, or by calling PBRDirect at 800-732-1727 for PBRewards members. VIP Elite Seats and combo options will also be available.

The event will transform Total Mortgage Arena into a full-scale bull-riding arena, with 750 tons of dirt—1.5 million pounds—hauled in to create the ideal surface. A team of 30 works around the clock to prepare the venue, assisted by seven semi-trucks of equipment and more than 50 of the toughest bucking bulls on the planet.

Each PBR bull is an elite athlete bred specifically for power and agility as part of the American Bucking Bull lineage. These 1,800-pound animals receive top-tier care and nutrition, matched against riders who average just 140 pounds in one of the most thrilling displays of man versus beast in sports.

PBR Bridgeport promises two nights of high-energy entertainment where courage, skill, and raw power collide. Whether a long-time fan or a newcomer to the sport, audiences can expect an unforgettable showcase of athleticism and heart when Unleash The Beast takes over Total Mortgage Arena.
