Meditation Day Retreat at Sophia Mediation Center
Would you like to learn to meditate? Build a consistent practice? Learn to solve life’s everyday fundamental problems by looking within?
Sophia Meditation Center will hold a Meditation Day Retreat on Saturday, March 25 from 9am – 5pm. During this retreat, you will learn to understand how to calm the mind, as well as experience it for yourself. The Meditation Day Retreat includes instruction, practice, lunch, and breaks and time for socializing. We have an abundance of meditation chairs and pillows available to use. “’Sophia’ means wisdom and, at Sophia Meditation Center, we provide a space where anyone can find that wisdom they want and need through practice, instruction, or simply through a rare opportunity for silence and tranquility,” states the volunteer group at Sophia.
In the state of meditation, we can perceive what is hidden from the physical senses. In the state of meditation, by reflecting on a problem or question, we can find reliable answers, insight, wisdom and guidance.
Real meditation is a form of perception, a way of getting information, and a precise science.
