Highlights include Putt Fore Pink at Lyman Orchards Golf Club, weekly Feud Nights, a free outdoor screening of Wicked at Apple Barrel Farm Market, Halloween-themed brunch and line dancing, a spooky flashlight brew maze, and the thrilling Evidence of Evil haunted attraction running every weekend.

Putt Fore Pink @ Lyman Orchards Golf Club

On Wednesday, October 1st, golf enthusiasts are invited to enjoy a 9-hole, non-competitive scramble at Lyman Orchards Golf Club in Middlefield, CT, with a 4:00 p.m. shotgun start. Participants can take advantage of the complimentary practice range up to one hour before play, with balls provided. The $90 registration fee includes a donation to Middlesex Health Breast Cancer, appetizers, dinner, dessert, an open bar, and a closing door prize and giveaways immediately following golf. Feud Night @ 1741 Pub & Grill

Every Tuesday in October, 1741 Pub & Grill is hosting Feud Night, a fun, team-friendly game inspired by a popular TV show. From 6 PM to 8 PM, players can guess the most popular answers to questions collected from 100 people, with examples like “If The Hulk went looking for a job, what’s one place he probably shouldn’t work?” or “What’s something that might make noise outside your window and wake you up in the morning?” The game includes twists and chances to take risks for dramatic comebacks, and the top team wins a prize. Participation is free, and food and drinks are available for purchase. Reservations are recommended to secure a spot—call 860-349-6033—and players are encouraged to arrive early to grab a drink and settle in before the first game starts at 6 PM. Free Outdoor Movie Night: Wicked

Bring the family out for a fun outdoor movie night at The Apple Barrel Farm Market on Friday, October 24th, featuring the musical fantasy film “Wicked,” which tells the untold story of how Elphaba, the misunderstood girl with green skin, and Glinda, the popular blonde, become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good. Guests should plan to arrive by 5:15 PM, with the feature presentation starting at 6 PM, and are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs for comfort. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase at the Lyman Orchards Creamery ice cream window until 8:45 PM. The event is free and open to the public, with movie sound and production provided by Lights Camera DJs, and is sponsored by Xfinity. In case of rain, the event will be held on Saturday, October 25th. Pets are not allowed.

Halloween Themed Brunch

Brunch is back at 1741 Pub & Grill with a special Halloween edition on Sunday, October 26th, from 10 am to 1 pm. Join Lyman Orchards for a fun night under the tent at 1741 Pub & Grill at Lyman Orchards Golf Course for Line Dancing with Steps & Sounds on Sunday, October 26th, from 5 PM to 8 PM. Tickets are $15 per person for the event only, with food and beverages available for additional purchase—no outside food or drink allowed. Beginners are welcome, with a focused lesson from 5 PM to 6 PM, and all levels can join from 6 PM to 8 PM, with short lessons on the hour. Enjoy dinner and drinks while kicking up your heels with friends and family, dance the latest steps, make requests, and take in great views of the golf course. This family-friendly event is open to dancers, non-dancers, friends, and everyone looking for a lively evening of fun.

Halloween Flashlight Brew Maze

Grab a beer and head into the massive 4-acre corn maze for an evening of fun and challenge, using only a flashlight and moonlight to find your way out. Enjoy samples from some of Connecticut’s top brewers while playing giant Jenga, Connect Four, corn hole, and other yard games at the outdoor pop-up bar. Guests should bring a regular flashlight, as phone lights cannot be used as the sole light source. Arrive any time between 6:30 PM and 8 PM, with last entry to complete the full maze at 7:30 PM and half the maze at 8 PM. Evidence of Evil Haunted Attraction

This October, Lyman Orchards brings back Evidence of Evil, Connecticut’s original interactive haunted attraction. Unlike a typical haunted house, this fully immersive experience puts you at the center of the story, combining cinematic storytelling, live actors, and high-intensity scares that will test your bravery. Opening on Friday, October 3rd, the attraction runs every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through November 1st, with tickets available online only starting September 1st. Ranked among the best haunts in the region, Evidence of Evil is perfect for a night out with friends, a thrilling date, or proving you’re the fearless one in your group. A portion of every ticket benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The attraction is PG-13, and children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
