Grammy Award-winning artists NE-YO and Akon will bring their co-headlining “Nights Like This” global tour to The Meadows Music Theatre on Sunday, July 26, 2026, as part of a 57-city run celebrating the era-defining hits that made both artists household names.

Produced by Live Nation, the tour pairs two of the most influential hitmakers of the 2000s and 2010s for a shared, back-and-forth set designed to highlight their extensive catalogs. The Hartford stop is one of several U.S. dates on the global outing, which blends R&B, pop, and hip-hop favorites into a single, high-energy concert experience.

The show will feature NE-YO staples such as “So Sick,” “Closer” and “Miss Independent,” alongside Akon hits including “Smack That,” “Lonely” and “Right Now (Na Na Na).” Organizers describe the tour as both a nostalgia-driven celebration for longtime fans and an introduction to two influential catalogs for newer listeners.

Tickets for the Hartford performance go on sale to the general public on Friday, Jan. 30, at 10 a.m. Presales will include a Citi cardmember presale beginning Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 9 a.m., running through Thursday, Jan. 29, at 10 p.m., via the Citi Entertainment program. A variety of VIP packages will also be available, offering premium seating and exclusive experiences.

NE-YO, a three-time Grammy Award winner, rose to prominence with his 2005 debut single “So Sick” and has since built a career spanning chart-topping albums, songwriting for other major artists, and work in film and television. His catalog has generated more than 23 billion streams worldwide, and 2026 will mark the 20th anniversary of his debut album, In My Own Words. In addition to his recording career, NE-YO has earned recognition for his songwriting contributions to artists including Rihanna, Beyoncé, and Usher.

Akon, a multi-platinum artist and entrepreneur, has sold more than 35 million albums worldwide and earned five Grammy nominations. Known for his genre-spanning sound, he has also played a significant role behind the scenes, launching the careers of artists such as T-Pain and Lady Gaga through his record labels. Beyond music, Akon is recognized for his philanthropic and business ventures, including initiatives focused on economic development and access to electricity in Africa.
