Music Theatre of CT partners with Adam J. Lewis Academy to bring theatre education to Bridgeport students
Music Theatre of Connecticut (MTC), Fairfield County’s award-winning Conservatory is excited to announce its partnership with Adam J. Lewis Academy (AJLA), an independent school serving PreK through Grade 8 students in Bridgeport, CT. This partnership is generously funded in part by the Kaplan Girls Music Fund. Through this collaboration, MTC brings professional theatre education directly to AJLA students twice a week, enriching their
educational experience with immersive performing arts instruction. With similar missions, MTC and AJLA are committed to providing high-quality education that nurtures the potential within each child and inspires them, regardless of their background.
AJLA’s dedication to supporting students from economically disadvantaged neighborhoods and families further
underscores the importance of this partnership. By providing access to professional theatre education, MTC and
AJLA aim to empower students to succeed both academically and personally, laying the foundation for lifelong learning and achievement.
Jim Schilling, a professional actor and co-founder of MTC, leads the program. Schilling’s expertise and passion for theatre allows the students to explore their creativity, build confidence, and develop valuable skills in communication and teamwork.
