Mohegan Sun’s 27th Annual Hot Summer Fun returns on June 24th with giveaways totaling more than $1 Million
Mohegan Sun is celebrating 27 years of Hot Summer Fun and it’s only getting hotter! The festivities get started on Monday, June 24th, and guests can take advantage of daily Momentum member promotions, exciting special events and 256 live shows in 96 days across the resort. The action runs through August 30th, and includes outdoor tribute acts every Friday night at the new and improved Sun Patio, which now features a brand-new music stage, upgraded fire pits, cozy Adirondack chairs and grassy turf to enjoy lawn games during the festivities.
Hot Summer Fun Daily Giveaways
Momentum members can participate in a new promotion every day of the week! Guests can sign up for Mohegan Sun’s free rewards program at any Player’s Club booth on property. When a friend of an existing Momentum member signs up for a new Momentum account any weekday during Hot Summer Fun, both guests will receive $10 in Free Slot Play! Guests must be 21+ to sign up for Momentum.
On More Money Mondays, Momentum members can win their share of $10,000 cash! Every Monday, one Momentum member will be randomly selected every hour between 10:00am – 7:00pm to win $1,000 cash. That’s 10 winners every Monday! To enter, Momentum members can play their favorite slots, table games or in the Poker Room. All Momentum members must be present to win.
During Catchin’ Rays Tuesdays, one Momentum member playing slots, table games, or in the Poker Room from 10:00am to 7:00pm will be randomly selected to dash in the Cash Cube for up to $10,000 in cash! Each winner will have 60 seconds to grab as much money as they can and place it into the cash box attached to the Cash Cube. Winners will keep whatever amount is inside the cash box after 60 seconds. Guests who grab and place the $2 bill in the cash box will DOUBLE their total prize!
All Momentum members will earn one electronic entry for every Status Point earned while playing slots, table games or in the Poker Room during Wild Winning Wednesdays. At the top of each hour from 10:00am – 6:00pm every Wednesday, one winner will be randomly selected to choose a voucher from the prize barrel to determine their prize, ranging from $500 to $5,000 in cash! Triumph status members are not eligible to participate in this promotion.
With Thrills & Chills Thursdays, Momentum members will earn Triple Status Points from 6:00am – Midnight while playing slots, table games, stadium gaming, in the Poker Room or wagering in the Race Book.
Momentum members can start their weekend off right with Fun in the Sun Fridays. Starting at 10:00am, the first 1,000 Momentum members to visit the Play+ Event Center (located next to Hash House A Go Go in Casino of the Earth) will receive a commemorative, free Hot Summer Fun t-shirt. Guests can collect a new shirt each week of Hot Summer Fun! All participants must present their Momentum card and a valid photo ID to participate. Limit one shirt per Momentum member, per Friday.
Let the winning continue with a special Hot Summer Fun session of Mohegan Sun’s $100,000 Jackpot Celebration! Beginning June 1st, Momentum members who win a jackpot of $1,200 or more while playing their favorite slot machines will receive one electronic entry form for a chance to be one of 50 winners to win their share of $100,000 in cash! Guests must activate their entries by visiting any promotional kiosk between 6:00am and 7:00pm on Saturday, September 7th. Winners will be drawn electronically on Saturday, September 7th at 7:15pm (there will be no live drawing). Guests can visit any Player’s Club booth at Mohegan Sun for official details of the $100,000 Hot Summer Fun Jackpot Celebration.
Kiosk Promotions
One lucky Momentum member will win a 2024 Ford Bronco Sport from Giard Ford, courtesy of Mohegan Sun’s Lasso A Bronco Giveaway! Guests can swipe their Momentum card once a day at any promotional kiosk from June 24th through August 30th for a chance to win Free Slot Play, Momentum Dollars or electronic entries into the grand prize drawing for a 2024 Ford Bronco Sport from Girard Ford! Those looking to double their total entries can swipe their Momentum card at any promotional kiosk on Friday, August 30th from 6:00am – 4:00pm. The grand prize drawing takes place on Friday, August 30th at 4:00pm. Momentum members can visit any Player’s Club booth for official details.
Momentum members can pick up a complimentary Hot Summer Fun Hat at the Play+ Event Center on Saturday, June 29th. The giveaway begins at 10:00am, and the Hot Summer Fun Hats are limited to the first 1,000 Momentum members. All guests must present their Momentum card as well as a valid photo ID. Limit is one hat per Momentum member.
Live Entertainment
The summer entertainment lineup inside the award-winning Mohegan Sun Arena features can’t-miss performances by Brad Paisley, Sam Hunt, Kevin Hart, Andrew Schulz, Tate McRae, Shane Gillis, Childish Gambino, Meghan Trainor and many more. Additionally, the Connecticut Sun will be bringing the heat inside Mohegan Sun Arena throughout the summer as they take on some of the league’s best including New York Liberty, Las Vegas Aces and more. Located in the heart of Casino of the Earth, the legendary Wolf Den showcases free live shows including favorites like Queensrÿche, Red Light, Don’t Tell Lisa and much more. Take in the evening summer vibes with the return of Party on the Sun Patio! This popular live outdoor entertainment series is back and takes place every Friday from June 28th – September 27th from 7:00pm – 11:00pm. This 14-week outdoor concert series features the fully renovated Sun Patio, and guests can get refreshing beverage specials at the Sun Patio Bar while dancing to the beats of their favorite tribute bands! Plus, grab some food at various food truck offerings each week. Be a part of this exciting summer get-together under the stars! The Hot Summer Fun festivities don’t stop there; the 5th Annual Sun Tequila Tasting returns and takes place on the Sun Patio for the first time! On Saturday, July 27th, guests can indulge in the unique flavors and complexities of tequila, treat their taste buds to delicious Mexican food provided by Los Mariachis On Wheels, groove to the high-energy beats of DJ D-Ave and dance to Fiesta del Norte’s incredible mariachi band. Tickets to Sun Tequila Tasting are on sale now via ticketmaster.com and the Mohegan Sun Box Office, subject to availability. A portion of ticket proceeds will go to support the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut Young Leaders.
