Mohegan Sun to Host More Than 280 Shows in 70 Days for Hot Summer Fun 2025

The summer heats up with a $100K jackpot celebration, a BMW giveaway, brand-new festivals and entertainment, epic prize pools, and much more

Mohegan Sun is launching its 28th year of Hot Summer Fun on June 23rd and the action is more dialed up than ever. Through Labor Day, Mohegan Sun Arena, the Wolf Den, The Cabaret Theatre, and the Sun Patio are set to feature acts like Incubus, Jordan Davis, Def Leppard, Jason Ladanye and Beatlemania Again. When it comes to outdoor entertainment, it will be the busiest summer yet on the Sun Patio, with a brand-new music festival, Backyard Beats, taking place on Saturday, August 16th and popular tribute bands rocking out every Friday night at the always free: Party on the Sun Patio. This revamped outdoor space will also host concerts by The Village People, Lupe Fiasco, The Roots, Dasha and more. A brand-new festival joins the summertime fun as well, when Taste of the Mediterranean arrives on Saturday, August 23rd. Every day of the week during Hot Summer Fun at Mohegan Sun will also be energized with gaming promotions and special giveaways, including a 2025 BMW 2 Series and daily offers like Catchin’ Rays Tuesdays, where random Momentum members can attempt to grab up to $10,000 in cash inside the Cash Cube!

The Sun Patio Concert Series is an all-new outdoor concert lineup for Hot Summer Fun 2025 at Mohegan Sun. This new and improved outdoor venue can accommodate nearly 5,000 guests for concerts and events, and beginning on Saturday, June 14^th, guests can enjoy the Hard-Rock hits of Buckcherry for a show kicking off at 9:00pm. All Sun Patio Concert Series shows are general admission, open to all ages and take place rain or shine! This premier outdoor event space at Mohegan Sun also features a full bar and deck for guests 21+. The full schedule is: Buckcherry on Saturday, June 14th; The Village People on Saturday, July 12th; Lupe Fiasco on Saturday, July 19th; The Roots, Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show band, on Saturday, August 2nd; HANSON on Saturday, August 9th; Dasha on Sunday, August 17th; Extreme on Saturday, August 30th and Sully Erna on Saturday, September 6th. Taste of the Mediterranean arrives on Saturday, August 23rd. Flavors of the Mediterranean will transport guests on the Sun Patio during this brand-new festival. From artisan charcuterie spreads to hand-filled cannoli, Taste of the Mediterranean is set to bring together regional favorites for a one-day celebration of coastal cuisine, music, and cultural flair. Tickets to this inaugural festival are on sale now and can be purchased via ticketmaster.com or the Mohegan Sun Box Office, subject to availability. A VIP Add-On Experience is also available for purchase, which includes unlimited drink samples, a hand-crafted charcuterie cup, a swag bag with gifts from featured sponsors, and more.

The return of Party on the Sun Patio invites guests to move to the music while some of the region’s top tribute bands electrify 14 weeks of free outdoor concerts every Friday from 7:00pm – 11:00pm. Party on the Sun Patio kicks off a couple weeks ahead of Mohegan Sun’s official Hot Summer Fun dates, on Friday, June 13th, with the B Street Band, a tribute to Bruce Springsteen. Lasting through mid-September, guests can sip on refreshing drink specials and explore a rotating lineup of food trucks. Additionally, those looking to have the best seat in the house can reserve a cozy VIP Fire Pit. Top touring tribute acts as part of Party on the Sun Patio will include Fleetwood Macked – the Ultimate Tribute to Fleetwood Mac, Forever Tina – Tina Turner Tribute, Queen Flash and more! Backyard Beats will be live on the Sun Patio on Saturday, August 16th. This special inaugural music festival features the best of the best in local bands, while showcasing the talents of DJ Mikey V and DJae Melee. The all-day festival, which kicks off at 1:00pm and lasts through 11:00pm, will feature live performances by Jason Ingriselli and the Miles North; Souls on Fire; Red Light; Don’t Tell Lisa; The Fake Experience and Juice Box! Mohegan Sun’s $100,000 Hot Summer Fun Jackpot Celebration

From Saturday, June 7^th, through Saturday, September 6th, Mohegan Sun Momentum members who win a jackpot of $1,200 or more will receive an electronic entry into a drawing where 50 lucky winners will win their share of $100,000 in cash prizes. Guests must activate their entries by visiting any promotional kiosk between 6:00am – 7:00pm on Saturday, September 6th. The grand prize will be $25,000 in cash! Mohegan Sun Online Casino will also run a $30,000 Jackpot Celebration where online players who win a Daily Jackpot during Hot Summer Fun (June 23rd – August 31st) will be entered into a sweepstakes for a $10,000 grand prize. 99 additional winners will split a $20,000 in-app casino bonus credit prize pool. A 2025 BMW 2 series is up for grabs with this much anticipated Hot Summer Fun giveaway taking place at Mohegan Sun from June 23rd at 6:00am – August 29th at 4:00pm. Momentum guests can swipe their card once a day at any promotional kiosk across the resort for a chance at this amazing grand prize courtesy of BMW of New London! Other great prizes as part of this summer-long giveaway event include Free Slot Play and Momentum Dollars. Double entries are possible on Friday, August 29th – the same day the Grand Prize drawing for the BMW is set to take place!

The Tiki Bar

Mohegan Sun is home to one of the most spectacular hotel lobbies in the world and will be home to a special pop-up bar from June 26th through September 12th. The Tiki Bar at Mohegan Sun’s Sky Tower Lobby will be decked out with island vibes and home to exotic cocktails, tropical beats and a laid-back energy for friends, family and couples! The cocktail menu features a Mai Tai special as well as the Lava Flow, with Bacardi Coconut, Fruitful Strawberry, Fruitful Banana, Pineapple Juice and Coconut Cream. Hot Summer Fun Daily Promotions

Momentum members can participate in a new promotion every day of the week! Guests can sign up for Mohegan Sun’s free rewards program at any Player’s Club booth on property. When a friend of an existing Momentum member signs up for a new Momentum account any weekday during Hot Summer Fun, both guests will receive $10 in Free Slot Play!

At the top of each hour between 10:00am – 7:00pm on More Money Mondays, one Momentum member playing slots, table games or in the Poker Room will be randomly selected to win $1,000 cash! All Momentum members must be present to win.

At the top of each hour from 10:00am – 7:00pm on Catchin’ Rays Tuesdays, one Momentum member playing slots, table games or in the Poker Room will be randomly selected to dash in the Cash Cube for up to $10,000 in cash! Each winner will have 60 seconds to grab as much money as they can and place it into the cash box attached to the Cash Cube. Winners will keep whatever amount is inside the cash box after 60 seconds. Guests who grab and place the $2 bill in the cash box will double their total prize!

Momentum members who earn two Status Points between 6:00am – 8:00pm on Wild Winning Wednesdays are eligible to participate in the Summer Slot Tournament Series, which takes place from 2:00pm – 8:00pm and features a $10,000 weekly prize pool! Guests will earn one entry for every two Status Points earned the day of the tournament, with a maximum of three entries per guest.

With Thrills & Chills Thursdays, Momentum members will earn Triple Status Points from 6:00am – Midnight while playing slots, table games, stadium gaming, in the Poker Room or wagering in Race Book.

Starting at 10:00am on Fun in the Sun Fridays, the first 1,000 Momentum members to visit the Momentum Event Center, located next to Hash House A Go Go in Casino of the Earth, will receive a commemorative free Hot Summer Fun t-shirt! New colors will be offered every Friday and Momentum members will have the chance to collect all 10!
