Mohegan Sun brings back seasonal tiki bar pop-up experience for the summer

Mohegan Sun has opened its seasonal, tropical-themed Tiki Bar pop-up experience for the summer season. Located inside the Sky Tower lobby at the Uncasville resort, the temporary venue officially launched operations on Friday, June 19. The summer cocktail lounge will remain open to the public daily through September 6.

The pop-up bar features a specialized drink menu highlighting classic island beverages. Patrons can order standard tropical options such as a Mai Tai, a Painkiller, a Bahama Mama, an Island Margarita, and a Tiki Mule. The beverage lineup also includes frozen options like the Piña Colada, a Frozen Mai Tai, and a Lava Flow, alongside a non-alcoholic mocktail option named the Island Blush.

The operating schedule varies throughout the week to accommodate resort visitors. From Sunday through Thursday, the venue opens at 4:00 p.m. and closes at 10:00 p.m. Weekend hours expand on Friday and Saturday, with operations starting at 3:00 p.m. and running until midnight.

Kim Noto, the Chief Marketing Officer at Mohegan Sun, noted that the concept is returning following its initial run last year. The lounge is designed to serve as an accessible gathering space for both overnight hotel guests and general casino visitors. The physical setup combines themed decor with upbeat background music.

The venue functions as a casual lounge space within the main resort complex. Guests can access the bar directly from the main lobby area without advance reservations. Additional information regarding the summer schedule and resort amenities is available on the official Mohegan Sun website.
