Milford Pirates Day returns to downtown on June 7

The Downtown Milford Business Association will host the 24th Annual Milford Pirates Day on Sunday, June 7, featuring the return of a popular character breakfast and live pirate-themed performances.

The event runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at three locations: the Milford Green, Lisman Landing, and the Milford Historical Society. Sponsored by 7 Seas Restaurant & Pub, the festival includes a live pirate ship landing at Lisman Landing accompanied by cannon fire.

By popular demand, “Pancakes with Pirates” returns as a limited-ticket breakfast experience at 8 a.m., allowing families to meet performers before the main festival activities begin. Tickets for the breakfast are $15.

“So many families grew up coming to Pirates Day dressed as pirates, and now they’re returning with their kids. That’s the magic of this event,” said Maritza Quintuna, PR and social media director of the Downtown Milford Business Association.

Festival highlights include treasure hunts through more than 60 local businesses, mermaid character appearances, and historical artifacts presented by Free Men of the Sea of Mystic. Children’s arts and crafts will be provided by the Giggling Pig of Milford.

Admission to the festival is free. More information and tickets for the breakfast can be found on the Downtown Milford Business Association website.
