Milford Chamber and the City of Milford celebrate grand opening of Silver Sands Gyro with ribbon-cutting

The Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce and the City of Milford celebrated the grand opening of Silver Sands Gyro (400 Boston Post Rd, Milford, CT 06460) with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Owner Osman Tunali, with over 15 years of experience in the restaurant industry, first made his mark in the Milford dining scene with the opening of Silver Sands Pizza in 2011. Originally from Turkey, Osman has long dreamed of bringing authentic Mediterranean flavors and cultural cuisine to the Milford community.

After beginning development last October, Silver Sands Gyro officially opened its doors in January 2025. The restaurant features a menu offering a variety of Mediterranean favorites, including chicken, lamb, and beef gyros, homemade baklava, and more. Guests can customize their meals by selecting from proteins like gyro, chicken, or falafel, which can be served over saffron or bulgur rice, atop a salad, or wrapped in a warm pita with an assortment of fresh toppings and sauces.

Manager Jordan Fabula, who has worked alongside Osman since 2020 making pizzas, was immediately inspired by the vision of introducing Mediterranean cuisine to the area. Silver Sands Gyro is a family-owned and operated business, committed to quality and hospitality.

The Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization committed to fostering economic growth and enhancing the quality of life in Milford and surrounding communities. Through advocacy, networking, educational programs, and community engagement, the Chamber supports local businesses and strengthens the region.
