Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce announces 130th Annual Awards Dinner in Haddam

The Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce will hold its 130th Annual Awards Dinner on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026. Chamber Chairwoman Juliet Cavanaugh announced that the gathering will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station in East Haddam.

The annual dinner brings together business executives, elected officials, nonprofit representatives, and community partners from across Middlesex County. The event serves as a platform to recognize local leadership, community service, and regional collaboration over the past year.

Several community members will receive honors during the evening’s program. Rodney Bitgood, Scott Brown, and James Crawford have been selected as the 2026 Distinguished Citizens in recognition of their contributions to the region.

The chamber will also present the Nonprofit Leader Distinguished Citizen honor to Cynthia Clegg for her work within the nonprofit sector. Additionally, Retired Middletown Police Chief Lynn Baldoni will receive the Chief Michael L. Green Award for her public service and leadership.

The ceremony will include formal recognition of chamber leadership, including Past Chairwoman Pam Steele. Tickets for the dinner are priced at $70 per person, with registration available through the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce.
