Haven Hot Chicken, a rapidly expanding Nashville-style Hot Chicken concept who likes to declare “EAT BETTER CHICKEN,” announced today that its ninth location – Store #009 – will be opening in Fairfield, Connecticut on Saturday, August 3, 2024. Located in the heart of downtown Fairfield at 907 Post Road, the 1500 square foot location will serve the brand’s signature menu of Crispy, Crunchy, Juicy, Spicy, Delicious chicken and vegetarian options ranging from Country (not spicy) to Haven (extremely spicy), including the epic and signature “THE Sandwich,” as well as other featured mains, classic sides and seasonal limited-time offerings, including this summer’s salad, strawberry banana puddin’ and BBQ chicken sandwich. This is the brand’s fourth new store opened since January 2024, joining locations in New Haven, Orange, Norwalk, North Haven, Storrs, Middletown, Newington and Oxford.
“Fairfield – here we come! – and we couldn’t be more excited to be opening during the summertime in this beautiful, beachfront community – what better way to spend an afternoon at the beach than with a picnic from Haven Hot Chicken?,” said David Sepulveda, Haven Hot Chicken Fairfield GM. “To celebrate our opening in this new community, we’re continuing our tradition of giving away our signature item – THE Sandwich – to the first 203 people in line when we cut the ribbon and open our doors at 11am on August 3rd. This new storefront is an easy hop off 95 with a large parking lot, in close proximity to Fairfield University, multiple beaches and downtown shopping and errands!”
The Fairfield location will be open 7 days a week (for everyone) from 11am-10pm, offer online ordering with curbside takeout, delivery with DoorDash and UberEats, and a robust catering service. The brand’s mission of helping raise crucial funds to help curb food insecurity in the state of Connecticut through “The Great Banana Pudding Drive,” donating the cost of one meal from the sale of each absurdly delicious banana pudding to the organization, continues with the company’s long-term partnership with Connecticut Foodshare. To date, Haven Hot Chicken has helped to raise funds for over 80,000 meals for CT’s residents in need.
Haven Hot Chicken was founded in 2020 by local restaurateurs Rob LaTronica, Craig Sklar, Jason Sobocinski, Tom Sobocinski and Etkin Tekin. The restaurant was recently featured on Food Network and Guy Fieri’s “Best Bite in Town” in 2024 and ultimately named the Best Bite in New Haven, and highlighted in 2023 as one of the “8 Fast-Food Chains that Serve the Best Hot Chicken” around the country by Eat This, Not That!. It was also the winner of The Perfect Pitch concept competition at the 2023 Fast Casual Executive Summit, recognized on The 40/40 List for 2024 of America’s Hottest Startup Fast Casuals by QSR and one of the 2024 20 Fast Casual Brands to Watch by FastCasual.com.
