Hartford Yard Goats players Jack Mahoney and Roc Riggio named Eastern League All-Stars

Minor League Baseball has named right-handed pitcher Jack Mahoney and infielder Roc Riggio to the 2026 Eastern League All-Star Team. The Hartford Yard Goats, the Double-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, are one of five teams in the league to have multiple players selected.

Mahoney was selected as one of four starting pitchers, while Riggio was named the team’s second baseman. The selections mark the first time a Yard Goats player has made the Eastern League All-Star Team since Hunter Goodman was named in 2023.

Mahoney, 25, went 7-1 with a 1.99 ERA and 64 strikeouts across 68 innings before earning a promotion to Triple-A on July 30. The Arlington Heights, Illinois native set a franchise record with four consecutive scoreless starts and posted a 0.83 ERA over his first five starts, the lowest mark in club history.

Riggio, 24, hit .256 with 16 home runs, 51 RBIs, and 20 stolen bases in 89 games before his promotion to Triple-A on August 11. The Tarzana, California native was named the Rockies Organization Offensive Player of the Month for July after leading the Eastern League in on-base percentage and walks.

Drafted by Colorado in the third round in 2023, Mahoney recorded the third-lowest single-season ERA in Yard Goats history. Riggio was acquired by the Rockies from the New York Yankees in July 2025 after originally being selected out of Oklahoma State University.
