A world-renowned improviser, Wayne Krantz’s singular approach to his instrument combines rhythm-centric phrasing with a dynamic attack in a style that is distinctly his own. Krantz has consistently pushed his stylistic roots in rock, jazz, fusion and blues beyond their boundaries.
With drummer, Keith Carlock (who has recorded and/or toured with such musical luminaries as John Mayer, Sting, Steely Dan, and more) and bassist Tim Lefebvre (who has amassed a reputation for being one of the world’s most innovative bassists) Krantz recorded, “Krantz Carlock Lefebvre” (Abstract Logix); a strikingly original album that was the first studio recording to showcase the group improv dynamic of one of his most enduring bands.
